Homemade Veggie Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz Can Blackbeans
  • 1/2 Green Pepper chopped
  • 1/2 Onion chopped
  • 3 Cloves Garlic peeled and minced
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp hot sauce optional
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

Instructions

  1.  Preheat oven to 375, lightly oil baking sheet

  2.  In a medium sized bowl, mash black bean until thick and pasty, stir in chopped veg.


  3. In a small bowl stir together egg, chili powder cumin and chili sauce.

  4.  Stir egg mixture together with mashed beans. Mix in bread crumbs until the mixture is sticky and holds together. Divide and shape into 4 patties.


  5.  Place patties on baking sheet and bake about 10 minutes per side.

  6. These freeze well! Go ahead and make a large batch!
