Change For Change

January’s Change-for-Change Recipient is Sojourns Community Health Center, a nonprofit clinic serving rural Vermont and surrounding areas. Sojourns Community Health Clinic embraces integrative medicine as a powerful model of healthcare. Clients receive time with providers from different disciplines who collaborate daily and see each person as whole. Sojourns accepts most insurances, maintains a well-stocked apothecary store with supplements, teas and other health products, and offers sliding scale group acupuncture on Friday mornings.

Our Change for Change Program started in November of 2016. We invite our customers to round-up their change to the next dollar to donate the change to support local community-based organizations. Thanks to the generosity and willingness of our customers to round-up their sales, we have donated over $47,000 (as of November 2021) to local organizations! These organizations include:

Springfield Warming Shelter

On behalf of the Springfield Warming Shelter I write to thank you for your generous gift of $1020. What a truly wonderful thing you did with all of your employees!!! Without contributions such as this, the shelter would not be able to operate as it does, serving a vital need in our community, providing a safe, warm place for our guests to sleep during the cold winter months. Your support is greatly appreciated!    Paul Kendall, Treasurer Springfield Warming Shelter

Chester-Andover Family Center

Springfield Family Center

Thank you again for your ongoing support through food and monetary donations to the Family Center. We used the donated funds to purchase food for our food shelf last month. Thanks to your donation we were able to buy some extra items like meat and milk. It is helping people who face food insecurity in our community who come to the Family Center for our daily meal and to access the food shelf.
       Thanks,
Mike (Director of Springfield Family Center)
