$2.00 off 32oz Dr Bronner’s: Learn About This Magical Soap

How do I love thee, Dr Bronner’s? Let me count the ways… except I won’t, because you, dear reader, would be here a very long time. Suffice it to say the ways I love this soap are as plentiful as its uses, but I won’t give up on my effort entirely, for then the post would end here and we would all be a little disappointed.

My love of Dr Bronners started when I was a teenager and the first bud of planet saving verve began to bloom in me. Because of the high concentration of Dr Bronner’s liquid soap a little of it goes a long way making the bottle last awhile, even when dually using it as both soap and shampoo which means fewer plastic bottles needing to be purchased!

These are still points I love, but now I am also dependant on their unscented baby soap which has saved me from many an uncomfortable hour. As bodies sometimes will over time, I developed a skin sensitivity which has forced me to relegate all those scrumptious smelling soaps to hand and face washing duty only, while I trialled with repeated failure a series of hypoallergenic soaps for bathing. Belatedly, I remembered Dr Bronner’s had an unscented soap which would also save me from trying to find a safe shampoo as well and life has been beautiful (and much less itchy) ever since.

“Is that all?” You might be saying; far from it! I also enjoy using their scented soaps for my dishes, laundry, cleaning; and that’s only the tip of the iceberg! The bottle with its fascinating label can be handy for a read in a moment of boredom, but you will also learn of the soap’s other uses from having a look there amongst the many words. For a more complete list I highly recommend visiting this link to their Dilutions Cheat Sheet.

Believe it or not, there are even more positive aspects (I did warn you!) As a company they are admirable. Still family owned and run the employees are treated exceptionally well with 100% free healthcare for their family, generous bonuses, help with childcare, retirement plan, and a cap that means the highest paid employees and executives are only paid five times more than the lowest paid position.

There is also so much focus on the well being of planet and all the people on it. They use organic, fair trade, non-GMO ingredients, are a B Corporation (learn more about those here), are working their way towards as near zero waste as they can be, and advocate for what they preach even outside their own company. Whether it be wage equality, making hemp legal, animal rights, or supporting our youth. If you’re interested in learning more, they have a very useful page about everything they do: About Dr Bronner’s.

On top of all these wonderful things, here at the Co-op we currently have $2.00 off coupons for any 32oz Dr Bronner’s Castile Soap, and we’ve got all the scents! In addition we have their bar soaps, toothpaste, coconut oil, and even gallon jugs that you can refill your own containers from!

You’ve got some time, but not all the time in the world to make use of this deal as the coupon expires February 28th! Come on in and we can point you in the direction of this magical soap.
