Ingredients

  • 1 Cauliflower
  • 1 salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil divided
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp ginger freshly grated
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

    Cut the cauliflower into 3/4 inch "steaks." Season with salt and pepper on both sides.

    Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet and sear cauliflower steaks on both sides. This will take approximately 2 minutes. Transfer to a baking sheet.

    Whisk the remaining olive oil with cumin, ginger and turmeric. Brush each "steak" with this mixture.

    Bake until golden brown, approximately 15 minutes. Garnish with cilantro if desired.

    May be served on a bed of greens or with quinoa.
