Deli Team Member
The Springfield Food Co-op is looking for a part-time (+/-15 hours/week) Deli team member to join us ASAP. This position works with the Deli Manager and Assistant to prepare a wide range of to-go sandwiches, salads, hot meals, and other daily offerings for our loyal and growing customer base. The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
- Friendly customer service with a sense of urgency
- Loves to learn and take on challenges
- Stays calm under pressure
- Able to handle a variety of tasks
- Familiarity with or interest in natural foods
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and be on your feet for 8 hours
- Prior experience working in commercial kitchen and knowledge of food safety practices
We are a member-owned food co-op and have been a growing part of the Springfield community for nearly 25 years.
